WHAT IS AN EPC?
Energy Performance Certificates
(EPC) are required for any property that is either sold or rented*. The certificate is valid for 10 years
and is a legal requirement
whether you are selling or renting.
EPC ratings are alphabetical with ‘A’ for the the most energy efficient and ‘G’ for the the lowest. With fuel bills rising and environmental concerns it pays to be aware of energy ratings and what they mean.
*There are exceptions such as listed buildings .
GREEN DEAL
-an EPC includes information showing which of the recommendations would qualify for The Governments Green Deal
Scheme.
RENTING OR SELLING A PROPERTY
If you intend to rent
a domestic property, an EPC must exist and due to recent legislation,the EPC must achieve at least a Grade E to be rented out. Should you wish to discuss this please feel free to contact me either via phone or email .
If you are selling
a domestic property ,an EPC is required in order to market the property and must be instructed usually within 2 weeks of going on the market.

How to get your EPC?
1- Call,email,text to book an appointment.
2- Visit
I will visit your property and undertake an energy assessment survey. The visit takes around 45 minutes.I then take some basic data, measure the floor area and inspect the loft or roof space. Please ensure loft is acessible and all rooms are open prior to the visit.
3- Report
Once all onsite data has been gathered I will undertake calculations and lodge the EPC report via software.
4-EPC issued
This will be automatically registered on the EPC register and I will email you a PDF version of the EPC, upon receipt of payment.
